ISLAMABAD: The Inquiry Commission on Enforced Disappearances traced out 18 missing persons in February 2012 during its proceedings held at Islamabad and Karachi.
On January last year, 138 cases of missing persons were pending. However, during the period from January 1, 2011 to February 29, 2012, 333 new cases were received in the Commission, enhancing the total numbers to 471, out of which 175 cases have been disposed off.
The Commission, headed by former Senior Judge Justice Javed Iqbal on Monday announced that it is determined to making all out efforts to trace out the missing persons. The names and parentage of 18 missing persons traced out during February 2012 are: Zafar Ali s/o Muhammad Hussain, Imam Saeed Mian s/o Muhammad Saeed Mian, Qari Ishfaq-ur-Rehman s/o Muhammad Shafi, Hafiz Abdul Rehman s/o Abdul Shakoor, Jalil Raki Baloch s/o Abdul Qadeer, Ikhtiar Hussain Chandio s/o Mehram Ali Chandio, Azib Imtiaz Qudwal s/o Nafees Ahmed, Haji Saifal Khan s/o Mureed Khan, Jam Qarar Din Bhutto s/o Muzaffar Ali Bhutto, Riaz Ali s/o Ghulam Muhammad Kakepoto, Ali Nawab Mehar s/o Moula Bakhsh Mehar, Shah Nawaz Bhutto s/o Mehboob Ali Bhutto, Ghulam Murtaza Abro, Sajjad Hassan s/o Muhammad Amin Abro, Bashir Arisrar, Tariq Karim s/o Muhammad Karim, Abdul Rehman Tawami and Sherzada s/o Aziz-ur-Rehman.
